Seeing my girls grow and change everyday. Knowing that I played part in them coming earthside is amazing. I know they will bring amazing contributions to the world. Even though they are so young, they’re already very high spirited and loving. Seeing them reach milestones and interact with people is priceless. It makes me feel like I’m doing something right. Even when we have tough days and growing pains, it’s nice to know that after we worked through it they have better skills
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?Giving birth. Both of them came into the world in very eventful ways. The first was an emergency C-Section and as a black woman I prayed for protection. I wanted to live to raise my first baby girl, and I wanted to be healthy and guide her through life. The second was also a challenge, as we got pushback with attempting to do a VBAC when we got pregnant only 15 months after our first. I’ll never forget holding them for the first time, whispering to each of them that I would always be there
What would you do with $20,000?A portion I would donate to the daycare our girls attend. They are a Pan-African based school and have provided so much support for my family in these challenging financial times. We would use the rest of the money to finish paying off bills and making much needed improvements to our first home.
