In those moments of exhaustion, amid tears & screams, a messy house, & overflowing work-inbox, when you feel utterly spent, its those tiny hands in mine that resets my perspective. Despite the utter chaos, they inspire me to push beyond my limits & make better choices. They've taught me more about myself than I ever imagined possible, professionally & personally in a way I truly never knew existed. As cliché as it may sound, their presence is a constant reminder that the challenges are worth it.

We were sitting in the driveway after a particularly horrendous car ride, you know the kind I’m talking about & I had just simply had it. In that moment every emotional regulation skill I had was out the window and I felt like a complete failure on every level. So I started to very ugly cry & cry. It was then the fighting and yelling from the backseat stopped and after a second one of my twins says, “don’t worry mama, it will be okay” & I was immediately humbled and saved by the wisdom of a 3yo.

The numbers around women in health care are frightening. I am passionate about addressing the emotional and work-culture concerns to provide support for mothers & women in health care. This money would go to building an infrastructure for female physicians and clinicians as they navigate care taking for their patients, their families and themselves through access to coaching, education resources, community, and challenging stigma. I’d also sneak in a trip with some of the super moms in my life.
