The most rewarding thing about being a mom is watching a tiny human grow into their own person and knowing you helped shape that. It’s in the small moments—hearing “I love you,” seeing their excitement, or knowing they feel safe with you. Even on the hardest days, the love, purpose, and bond make everything worth it. It is what makes me the most happy in life.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me is strength I didn’t know I had. After everything I’ve been through—getting sick young, struggling because of it, rebuilding after prison, and starting over—it showed me that no matter how hard life gets, I keep going. Not just for me, but for my children. It taught me resilience, patience, and that love can push you to become a better version of yourself every single day.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use the $20k to give my son an unforgettable experience by taking him to Disney, creating memories he’ll carry forever. I’d also put it toward getting us into a safe, stable home where we can truly start fresh. And most importantly, I would help my 24-year-old who is struggling with addiction and mental health, making sure she gets the support and care she needs.
