I left my career for my children. USAF disabled veteran,HIV+ woman, Domestic Violence Survivor, and community advocate!
We would like to thank you for supporting Teniecka Drake in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Knowing I am helping to cultivate amazing adults. I get to pour into them love, respect and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is one of the joys I have. Even when it gets challenging and attitudes start to fly and blessed to be a mother to 4 amazing children.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I will never forget a Mother's day gift they surprised me with. I had given them some money. We were in Dollar tree and they were hiding what they were purchasing. I love crafting vases and they have watched me. They purchased a vase and decorated it with some faux flowers and a matching teal glitter pillow. It was so sweet and I still have the pillow and I still have the vase. All while we were living in transitional housing and be ing homeless at the time.
What would you do with $20,000?I would defintely put some some of it away and invest it. The other half I use for my kids college. Then a portion of the money I would use to put on a three day event to bring about a business. This would be three days for all women and veteran Moms. Any Mom that either has a child with Autism, and they are HIV positive and they need help with finding work. This conference would have speakers to not only empower and encourage but, assist them secure employment or start a business.
