We would like to thank you for supporting Amy Byrne in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Being able to teach them how to show love, take responsibility for their actions, being kind and helping those who might need help.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson is that we don’t always know how our lives will turn out and that there are twists, bends and curves. Resilience is key. Never giving up and always learning how to be the back bone of our tiny small family of three. Raising two boys on my own has taught me true gratefulness and to never quit. It has taught me patience especially when things don’t go as planned. I have learned to be my oldest sons advocate for his kidneys disease and navigate it all while working two jobs.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would put some in savings for my son’s college. Donate to Cedar Sinai where my son gets treatment, as well as donating to “nephcure”, in hopes of helping for a cure for kidney disease.
