Javoni Garrett

I have balanced working from home, being a homemaker, and military wife. Despite it all I still find a way to keep moving forward.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Being able to raise “the change” I want to see in the world. Having someone love you unconditionally, faults and all. No one gives you grace like your children. Through the grace and Love she has shown me, I am a better person. My daughter has shown me that I really can push myself through the darkest days and still come out stronger. Everyday I’m reminded that I matter.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

As cliche as it sounds, the moment I met her for the first time. We tried for 5 years to have our daughter. Through our IVF journey, high risk pregnancy where I battled HG, all while continuing to work Full time and a complicated delivery. The moment I saw her it was like none of that mattered anymore. She was my greatest success story, Nothing beats the moment you see your child for the very first time after a journey like that. Oh, and the time she threw a shoe at her dads head and said catch!

What would you do with $20,000?

I’d use that money to help move us in a direction towards financial freedom. Pay off Debts, and put some aside for a rainy day. While splurging on a handbags and jewelry sounds nice too…A blessing such as this is not to be taken for granted. This super mom has a super family to care for everything I do, is for them.
